"Charmaine Rose"

In this world that is so performance driven and based on a winner mentality
where the best person gets the highest award. We can some times let people who are the best at what they do because they have the money and the opportunities given to them in life to make their dreams happen, become the heroes of this world. Well this flower right here is called the “Charmaine Rose” and here is the story of why it blooms.

A very dear friend of mine when she was going through a hardship a few years ago the Lord showed her a prophetic rose garden, it was a symbol of hope for her situation. This year is her third season of growing her prophetic garden, each rose is named after a woman that she has walked with spiritually. She gives hand cut blooms to women as a ministry of hope for their situations or just to make them feel like a lady.

This year she planted Charmaine-Rose , it has a purple tinge to it, as this color is very symbolical to me. When she sent me this picture and told me that it is growing in her garden and that it is teaming with life, fragrant with many buds and four beautiful blooms – my heart was so overwhelmed.

I know that this may seem like nothing to the average person but I felt like I had been given the most prestigious award and the highest honour that one can attain in this lifetime. This rose was as symbolically to me as a gold medal is to an Olympic athlete or the Pulitzer prize is to the winner. It speaks of love, life and hope and the many buds that will bloom will be given to women of all walks of life to encourage them along their prophetic journey.
We all want to be acknowledged in life and my friend may never truly know how much she has done by bestowing this rose bush with my name attached to it to grow each year and to blossom and bloom and touch other women’s lives with hope and beauty, for this is a symbol to me of what Jesus has called me to do in my very own life- to be a Charmaine Rose.
So this is my eternal thank you to my blessed friend Rhonda. Just know this if I had a green thumb or even a garden I would return the favour because the fragrance of your life keeps spilling over onto mine. You are one my heroes.

Nehemiah 11-13 Bible study

Chapter 11 and 12 of Nehemiah reads very much like a family tree. It is giving a record of the names and location and a few personal details of the people living inside Jerusalem and outside Jerusalem during the time of the wall being rebuilt. At Chapter 12: 27 we get some inside information in regards to the dedication of the wall- I loved this section as it spoke about a thanksgiving choir. Wow how many times have we been thankful enough unto God to bring out the thanksgiving choir? This was a group of singers and musicians that sung nothing but thanks to God for His goodness and grace, mercy and love.

Chapter 13 is the section that most intrigued me. It struck a cord in me as I have been in the process of rebuilding some walls of my own. Spiritual walls of safety and protection and trust are very important and whenever there has been a breach or breakdown there is a process to rebuilding. This sections deals with the fortifying of the walls after you have rebuilt or repaired it. You must make sure that you not only keep the enemy out but you must rid the enemy from within. Nehemiah was away for a time and when he returned there were a few things not in order. For one Tobiah (an enemy) had moved into the temple and Nehemiah promptly evicted him and cleaned out the room he had had his possessions in and rededicated that space to God. He gave wages back to the priests so they did not have to go to work to make a living. He took action and dealt with the practice of working on the Sabbath day by closing and guarding the gates- so that those breaking the rules would stop. And finally he dealt with those that had married pagan women of other cultures which was strictly forbidden. They were raising a generation that was more pagan and that did not follow the laws of God.

We must make sure that every place in our lives does not give a small space for the enemy to dwell. We need to kick him out and rededicate that place in our lives to God. Some times due to financial need we the priests of God are too busy working in the fields to tend to the house of God and to perform the duties of the priests of the Lord. He is our first priority and all other things come after Him. He will take care of us. There is also sacred time that belongs to the Lord and many of us have been too busy investing in the things of the world and this has caused many of us to sleep outside of the walls on occasion. We must guard these gates and understand the ramifications of not keeping holy what God calls holy. All of these things have one root in common, those that are married to the world, the secular or pagans are drawn away from the things of God. They will not reproduce seed after their own kind. We must be willing to root out worldly ways that have become established in our lives. We need to reject carnal compromises and refuse evil alliances.

It is not good enough to just rebuild the wall we must make sure to fortify it from the inside out.

A Kiss on My Forehead

One morning as I spent time in the Lords presence

He kissed me softly on my forehead
Wow what a feeling!
I had received a kiss like no other I had ever had before
So soft and gentle He rested His lips on my forehead
What did this mean to me? what did it say?... Everything
With it it I heard Him say "I love you so much, you are my beloved, I bless your knowledge with my understanding, no one can replace you, you are special to me"
Nothing else could have communicated to me like that kiss on my forehead
It transferred so many things within a split second
With it He said to me
"Let me answer all of your questions with this one simple gesture
Rest your mind my daughter, my princess I have taken care of everything"
It screamed "I delight in you and take pleasure in your interest in me"

Possibly the only kiss for me that could have conveyed ultimate gentleness and pureness of intention, a kiss on my forehead symbolized love in its purest form, untainted. What an endearing gesture that moved my heart and surpassed my thinking

I was speechless , breathless, I didn’t and couldn’t define or explain it
This type of kiss liberated me from any constraints , it conveyed warmth, and compassion, understanding, it was loving and personal giving me a reassuring feeling. It made my heart swell with the love I felt for Him and then the tears flowed.

If you ever get a kiss like this it is a sweet, innocent way of saying He cares about you and you matter to Him. There is a gallant, protective meaning behind a forehead kiss - it is loving and respectful.

He does care deeply about you. That is the plain and simple truth. It is “I love you” planted on your forehead forever.

2 Chronicles 34-36

Today in reading these final chapters of 2 Chronicles there are overall messages that are very evident.

One of these that stands out for me is the saying that “as the leader goes so the people go”. There were kings that sought after God and followed the words of the Book of the Law and then there were kings that did evil in the sight of the Lord. Chronicles is a record of what happened to each of these kings and to the kingdom they were put in charge of.

Royalty is a family business and each successor or heir carries on the business from his father before him. But you can see at times that some heirs did not quite agree with the way that the previous business owner ran things. The kings I enjoyed the most were the ones like Josiah that chose not to run business as usual but took a look at the original business plan set out by the founding owner and gave the present business a whole overhaul. He threw out excess things that had been accumulated over the years, such as false gods and extra altars that were not necessary. He did some major renovations to certain structures and brought in a cleaning crew to take care of piles of junk that had been left in some very high places. Due to his excellent business sense and loyalty the company’s finances prospered and the company was in good standing in the community.

He reinstated practices that had been forgotten or overlooked that were central to the original way that the business was to be run. He also made sure that every employee and volunteer was doing their job correctly and were compensated accordingly. He threw great staff parties to celebrate the past victories that the company had accomplished. He sought good counsel and had many past company rules and policies re-established as he made every employee and volunteer listen to these. This was to ensure that the business would be run successfully in his absence or even his death. Because the sad truth is that all kings, good and evil do eventually die and when the crown is passed to the next successor it will now fall on their shoulders to keep the business prospering.

Unfortunately all that king Josiah did, though it pleased the Lord, it did not absolve the kingdom from the judgement that would be passed against them – there would be a hostile take over and a change in senior executive management. The heirs after king Josiah would continue to lead the company into bankruptcy by their evil deeds. They were sent many warnings, verbal and written by many messengers prior to their eviction notice. But due to their lack of response to an original decree over the company that can be found in 2 chronicles 7:14. The restoration of this company would not occur right away.

The beautiful thing about the word of the Lord is that to gain the fullness in understanding you can’t just read one place- you must put all the words of the Lord found in The Book together. And when we add the books of Kings and Jeremiah to 2 Chronicles we see and understand the fulfillment and redemptive plan that will begin with the proclamation of Cyrus king of Persia in Chapter 36 verse 23 where a new company is to be rebuilt and established.

Words for Canada
The things we think are for evil are for His purposes and for His end time plan. He is sweeping across the land from East to West and He is unearthing- He is picking out the weeds, the season of the wheat and the tares growing together is coming to an end. His Spirit is beginning to blow across Canada
Beginning of the harvest time has begun- He is unearthing- a season of unearthing in Canada- plucking out good things as well – good and evil. The plans that the enemy has for evil look like he is having his way but God changes what the enemy means for evil for good. Nation of Canada that which you believe to be evil God is using for good
It is causing you to rise up, it is causing you to get a voice, to intercede, to say we must pluck this thing up
It is time for the unearthing- time of separation coming to the body of Christ in Canada- No longer will He let that live together- no longer will evil and good remain together
Many are being called back from the lands of adoption back to the nations of their birth with authority and mantles to speak and bring healing , victory and breaking off many bondages.

Is it God or the enemy opposing me?

Have you ever had opposition in something you were doing and wondered if it was God or the enemy trying to stop you.?
I was reading 2 Chronicles 16-18 today and I am not a person that is pro war but here in these pages we see that every person that has position or authority such as a king was always at battle or preparing for battle. This serves as a reminder to us that we truly are in a spiritual battle and just like the kings of old we must enquire to get a word from the Lord in every situation to properly align ourselves. How we respond to God or His word will determine the outcome of our situation.

In the old testament the word came through prophets and seers. For king Asa he received a word of correction from the seer in regards to his actions. What powerful words in 16:9 “ For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him”. Again God is looking at the heart of man and this allows Him to move on their behalf. Our heart response and actions speak of our position in God. .Asa did not like the words of the seer which were the words of God and his response was anger and even rage- but this was planted before the word of the Lord came, when he began to not position himself with God but instead began to rely on the power of men. God declared that from now on he would have wars. This struggle would become the battle he would lose and ultimately cause his death. For instead of seeking the Lord in his illness, again he relied on physicians.

In Chapter 17 we see the opposite happening, here king Jehoshaphat seeks the Lord, he walk in His commandments, his heart took delight in the ways of the Lord. After he removed the places of pagan worship and destroyed the idols, he sent the leaders and priests out with the Book of the Law of the Lord to teach the people.

In return we see that the Lord was with Jehoshaphat, God established the kingdom in his hands, he had riches and honour in abundance, he became increasingly powerful, even his enemies blessed him. And he gained territory, fortified his cities and had many mighty men of valour serving him. The great part about all of this is that the fear of the Lord fell on all of the kingdoms around Judah and no one made war with Jehoshaphat!

Chapter 18 is great because here we see what happens when a man who relies on God aligns himself with one who doesn’t. Jehoshaphat became an ally to King Ahab by marriage. Due to this alliance he agrees to go to war with King Ahab. In verse 4 we see that Jehoshaphat has not changed and he seeks to get a word from the Lord about the battle. King Ahab on the other hand does not like getting a word that is contrary to what he wants to do. He has surrounded himself with prophets that will agree with him and he has hatred in his heart towards the prophet that speaks a word from God that is “evil” and not good towards him. Here again we see the heart issue that causes a king not to follow the words of the Lord but to listen to lying spirits. He too will lose his life in battle.

But God will rescue a man who cries out to him when he is in a battle and the enemy is upon him , He will show himself strong to those who have kept their hearts loyal to Him. I am encouraged today that the battle belongs to the Lord and that my responsibility is to seek the Lord, to get a word from Him about every battle that I will encounter and to align my heart with His heart for His purposes. Then I will know if the opposition is from God or from the enemy.
