Your Value in Gods' eyes

The definition for value is the quality ( positive or negative) that renders something desirable and valuable or the degree of importance that you put on something.

Matthew 10:31
Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows (God values you highly)
Luke 16:15

He said to them, "You are the ones who justify yourselves in the eyes of men, but God knows your hearts. What is highly valued among men is detestable in God's sight.
1 Timothy 1:8

For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come. (eternal value)

Proverbs 16:13

Kings take pleasure in honest lips; they value a man who speaks the truth. ( moral values)

Where do you think the world gets there standard for value?

The world’s value is very different from Gods value

Society lets models, sports figures, celebrities and movie stars be our role models and we unfortunately set our self worth or value by these standards instead of the word of God

Unfortunatly the image that the world presents to you is not real and it does not realy exist. It is fake and just an image.

What makes something valuable/worth?

Does it have a purpose/ is it useful?

What condition is it in? excellent, good, damaged, aged,

Is it an original or unique?

Is it real?

Is it endorsed by someone of status?

Is it in high demand- Does everyone want it?

The value you put on yourself comes from your own self worth- or your acceptance of yourself the way God made you. If you have low self esteem then you will struggle with knowing your true value

Take inventory- Do you feel worthy? Do you esteem yourself as valuable?

The more you believe the truth about what God says about you the more you accept yourself for who you are and who God made you to be. You are of great value to God

You are Blessed- Deuteronomy 28:1-14

Strong in the Lord- Ephesians 6:10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.

You are fearfully and wonderfully made- Psalm 139:14

I have called you by name: You are mine Isaiah 43:1

God say to you today that you are valuable to Him because He made you and you are special, one of a kind, unique, created with purpose for His plans.

To Believe

Every day we face a choice that many dont even recognize or acknowledge. The choice to believe. The choice to choose is ours and no one elses.

What is it that you believe? Do you believe that when you go to take in the air that you need to survive that not only will there be enough, but that it will sustain you or do you just breathe?
Do you get up to walk and believe that your legs are strong enough to hold the weight of your body? Or do you take it for granted that everyone walks and that you have done it for so long that it is a given. How about life do you believe that you are here for a purpose or are you just some random set of molecules walking around taking up space until you die. What about death do you believe that when you die you become non-existent or do you believe in an afterlife?

Do not be mistaken each of these takes an act of either belief, doubt or unbelief.
Because we believe we act and how we act continues to shape the rest of our beliefs and ultimately our lives.

So take some time today and examine what it is that you truly believe. But be careful many times we face what we think we believe and it is not founded on anything- or maybe on something someone else believed and told us. Let us look for truth as we establish what we believe and to make it even more difficult lets not forget to add Faith, Love and Hope into the equation.

A definition from Wikipedia is:
Belief
is the psychological state in which an individual holds a proposition or premise to be true.

I challenge you today to let it be more than a psychological state, but for you to add truth to what you believe. And then see where you stand.

Psalm 116:10

I believed, therefore have I spoken

The Dance

The Dance

Deep within me there is a longing
A great burning desire
To reach out and grab a hold of Him
Yet I know I must go higher

Way down in the depths of my being
In the very center of my soul
There is a place of great intimacy
That to reach I've made my goal

Sometimes in the smallest split second I sense His presence
And yet I long for so more
And in that time the dance begins
One I have never done before

So I dance like no one else is watching
Like their eyes don't mean a thing
Always remembering that I do have an audience
For I dance before the King

So many things I want to say to Him
That words could never express
So in my movement I share with Him
All of my sorrow, pain, love, joy and my happiness

What led me to Him was my desire to worship
And now I have been given the chance
So with a humble heart, I let Him open me up
As I embrace
